CFC Household 8.15.2008: Assumption of The Blessed Virgin Mary

Excerpt from Paco’s Journal: Yesterday Tita Cecil visited, she brought mango and polvoron, then we met with Tito Leo, Tita Doris, and Kuya Mico at the Korea House.  Dad and I had the beef bulgogi.  After that we went to Dairy Queen for dessert.  Dad, Migi, and I all had Oreo Blizzards, Dad and Migi shared one.  All in all it was a pretty good day.

Today was AWESOME!  It started out by waking me up at 7:45 in the morning, after which I went downstairs and had a healthy conversation with Migi about Bionicle: Heroes over breakfast.  Then I attacked the mess that is my room.  Then we left to go to Mass, the entire household was there.  After that we went to the mall, where we all had dinner, I had a pepperoni stromboli.

Now while we were eating I was thinking, ” woudn’t it be nice if we moved those centerpieces so they don’t take up so much room?”, with that in mind I take the nearest centerpieces and begin stacking them into towers, then as I start eating again Uncle Eric passes me a few more and says “here’s some more Paco”, so I add them to the tower and continue eating while I ponder why Marvel keeps making toys for kids for movies that they can’t even watch anyways, when all of a sudden I hear “we win!”, so I look over and see two kids with their own tower, finally Migi and I choose to accept the unspoken challenge with our own tower, and we keep building until they have a mini civil war, ending with the smaller one knocking over their tower.  After that the other one seemed to lose heart and he finally decided to give up.

During this entire time Juli, Ate, and Aunt Bethany are snapping pictures with their camera-phones, but then . . . Disaster!  The tower falls for the first time Migi and I immediately rebuild it of course.  While we are repairing it a man comes over, he is quite elderly, and he says “are you boys going to build it to the ceiling?”, Migi replies “nah, we’re not that tall yet”, and the man replies “when you’re older you’ll be able to do it” and then leaves.  The tower stood for only a short time before crashing to the ground for the last time.  One employee (one of the many who had taken a picture of the mighty tower with his camera-phone) called for us to rebuild it but we replied saying “we have shown you how, now you must build your own.”

Soon after Juli asks if she can wreck what is left of the tower, I say yes, but then Migi wrecks most of it himself, leaving Juli only about 30% of the original wreckage.  After the towers have been completely demolished, Juli, Migi, and I pitch in to put away everything, soon it looked like a tower had ever been there.  After that Juli helped me take care of Migi, Christian, and Harry Steve.  Later, on the drive home I said “I have never gone to a household this fun.” And that is true, I really have never gone to a household this fun.
