Today my Sister drove us to the fellowship, I tell you it was real scary! Then we had lunch, which was pizza and chicken wings. For dessert we had ice cream. The Girls were talking about Pride & Prejudice for most of lunch. Then we headed to the basement and had a vote for Shrek – Happy Feet – The Sorcerers Stone. Happy Feet won. It was all right, but I’ve seen better. Then we played Monopoly, Kuya Paolo won, then everybody had to go (NO!!!!!!).

The Stomach

  • There’s acid in your stomach (to break down food).
  • There is mucus lining the walls of your stomach (to protect it from the acid).
  • There is half digested food in your stomach(I kid you not).
  • There is a valve in your stomach(leading to your intestines).

Today after an overnight camp-out indoors I woke up at 6:00 (first one up; yes!), got dressed and went upstairs. Then I went downstairs and ate my breakfast, then I went up again and brushed my teeth. Then we left. When we got there we each got a badge, a bag and a few other items. Then we found our troops. I was in troop 13 (green; YES!), my older sister was in troop 19 (brown), and My little brother and sister were in troop 6 (pink; poor Migi). Then it was business time.

First we went to my Dad’s part of the plant and got safety glasses and earplugs, then we got to see the diaper making machines. After that we went to diaper making and learned that inside the diapers there is a kind of liquid absorbent. Then we made our own diapers (NOOO!!!!!!).

Then we went to the fitness center and did the shuttle run, curl ups, and sit and reach. My scores in order: Shuttle Run 10.41 seconds. Curl Ups 34 in one min. Sit and Reach 41 (on the flexibility meter) . Then, OFF TO. . . . . not Neverland, to the design center. There we were assigned a person (old man), a place (cottage), and an object (a paint brush) that we had to make a story with. (Maybe I’ll put the story in the legends category one day)

And last but not least . . . . . we . . . . . made FLUBBERS!!!!!!

Then we went and had our lunch. And to top it all off we had ice cream at Meijers (is that spelling right?). . . . .

G.I. Joe

No, this has no affiliation to Hasbro’s G.I. Joe (I think). This is about a PIGEON named G.I. Joe, he served as a homing pigeon in WWII, this is the story of one of his most famous exploits.

on October 18, 1943 the Allied Forces were preparing to bomb Calvi Vecchia, Italy. However the British arrived a Calvi Vecchia a short time before the attack and captured it with no opposition however the Allied Forces were still going to bomb it so they sent a pigeon named G.I. Joe. He arrived just in time, the bombers were already on the runway! More than a thousand people were saved.

Caius Mucius, His Story.

Once in the time when Rome was young, there was a King of Etruria named Lars Porsena.  He was holding Rome under siege.  Now in Rome there was a brave young man named Caius Mucius and he had a plan to kill King Porsena.  He would walk into his camp and kill him.  It was payday at Porsena’s camp then and his secretary was there and was dressed very like him, so Mucius, unfotunately mistaking the secretary for the King killed him with his sword!  Instantly the soldiers captured him and brought him before the King.  Infuriated at the sight of his dead secretary he demanded Mucius to tell him who he was and why he had done it.  He told him and then said “I have failed but others will come and you will be killed when you least expect it”.  Then Porsena threatened to burn him alive, but seeing a fire Mucius walks over to it sticks his hand in and holds it there saying, “see how much pain a Roman can bear if for his country!” porsena, amazed, orders him set free and makes peace with Rome then.  Mucius was then called Mucius the left-handed (his right hand was rendered useless by the fire).

The End
